I'm celebrating the release of my friend, Jessica Gibson's book, Mark of the Witch.

Blurb:Magic flows through Jillian Proctor's veins as surely as blood, but so far her life outside Boston has been peaceful. William Morgan blows into Jilly's life like a hurricane, unleashing her magic and sending her out of control. Unknowingly, William brings an enemy who only wants to posses the power of the witch. Jilly must learn to harness her magic before she loses it - and everything in her life is destroyed.

Jessica was kind enough to share an excerpts with me, which I will now share with you guys!

Oh, and Jilly, you really shouldn’t be in the habit of meeting strange people at night. I could have been a strangler for all you knew,” he said with a hint of reproach in his voice.
“Oh, I wouldn’t worry too much about me, William; it’s the strangler who should be worried,” Jilly said with a viscous gleam in her eyes while she vigorously rubbed her palms together until they glowed brightly in the moonlight. “Care to shake my hand, Mr. Strangler?” she asked with a laugh as she stuck her hand out to him.
“Ok, I’m game, let’s see what you’ve got up your sleeve,” he said as he grabbed her hand. Almost instantly he was on the ground, writhing in pain. “Well, I will say that tonight I’m glad that I cannot die; that sure packs a punch. I think I could feel my heart stop for a second,” he said, a little winded, as he propped himself up into a sitting position and rubbed his hand.
“Yeah, I figured I’d give you a real show tonight,” she said as she walked away.
He watched her go, still sitting on the ground, and said, “Until tomorrow then,” almost under his breath.

MEET THE AUTHOR
First and foremost, I'm a wife to an amazing man, and mother to a 2 year old little boy. I love to read when I can find the time, my Kindle is my best friend. I've read tons and tons of books. One of my favorite authors is Diana Gabaldon, her Outlander series is absolutely amazing. I also really enjoy Charlaine Harris' True Blood series. I'll read anything supernatural, I've blown through most of the good YA series' that are out there. I think my love ofreading really helped me branch out into writing.

It's Thursday and you know what that means, it's teaser time!

“I don’t remember killing anyone but I’ve had dreams of the killings,” I explained. The room was quiet for a moment, spiking my already jumpy nerves. Squeezing my hands tighter, I focused on the pain of my nails digging into my skin.

“What happens in these dreams?” Yet another man asked. It’d be really nice if I could put a face with the voice, but I kept my eyes down.

“I’m the wolf,” I told them. “I see everything from its perspective and its thoughts are the ones that I hear.”

“That’s very…” one of the men started.

“Bizarre, it’s bizarre,” another one finished.

I missed posting a teaser last Thursday. My life has been a little hectic lately. My office was turned into a storage room while we remodeled out kitchen, and I'm just now getting it back in order.

Taming the Wolf is right on pace and if no more distractions pop up, I'll be publishing by the end of May!

                                              --Teaser--

“I went grocery shopping by myself a month ago and I didn’t attack anyone,” I told Wade like this was the equivalent to winning a gold medal.

Wade looked at me through the rear view mirror and said, “Congratulations, but from what I saw today you still aren’t comfortable with humans.”

I had the strong urge to stick my tongue out at him but decided that would be immature and not help my cause. We sat in silence for the rest of the trip, which like everything else in Wyoming, took forever. Buffalo was at least forty-five minutes away and the only view outside my window was land with only a few houses every ten miles or so to break up the landscape.

My mind traveled back to when I was still just human—only three months ago but it felt like eons. I’d adapted to living with Adam’s pack so quickly that I hadn’t thought about the life I’d lost. Not that I really had a life to speak of, but it was a lot simpler then. Sure I barely made enough money to get by and I came home to a dog at night but my life was my own.

Now, I could be a murderer and was obsessed with a man who wouldn’t give himself to me fully. Oh how the tides turn. I’d traded one extreme—boring life—for another—exciting and dangerous life.

In celebration of Cupid Painted Blind being FREE today, I'm interviewing Autumn.

Autumn, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi, Stephanie. Thanks for having me! I've lived in Montana all my life and I used to be an animal photographer. One of my favorite things to do is ride horse. I trust my horse more than most humans––especially doctors! I have red hair due to my Scottish roots and…I think I killed my boyfriend.

In your story we learn that you're running from death. Could you please tell the readers why the cottage you were trying to get to is so special.
I'd love to. I had to get to the cottage because it's protected by Brownies! Brownies are the invisible, brown elves who followed my grandparents from Scotland. If you treat them good, leave them snacks, and ask them nicely, they'll protect you and your house and keep you safe!

Randoms
1. What is your favorite song? Lately, I've been listening to "Beyond the Grave" by Saxon. I'm not sure why.
2. At what age did you first kiss a boy? Honestly, the first time I kissed a boy I was twelve and it wasn't really all that special but if you want to know about a special kiss… I was 25 when I first kissed a ghost, and let me tell you, that was an AMAZING experience.
3. If you were stranded on a island, what 3 things would you bring? Well, I'd have to bring my horse, Charm, and my Brownies for sure. Oh, and some great running shoes!
4. Vanilla or chocolate? Chocolate reminds me of safe Brownies.
5. Favorite season? I'll have to say any season where a giant tornado of death isn't chasing me!

Thank you, Autumn. If you guys would like to read more about her story today is the day to pick up Cupid Painted Blind. It's
